Here’s a question that came in via email:

“Hi Marcus,

Your Spanish teaching method is very impressive. I am a British ex-pat living in Spain and find learning the language difficult. I live on the Costa Blanca where Castilian Spanish is spoken and which I am trying to learn. As you live in America, does that mean you teach Spanish as it is spoken in South America? Would that be a problem?

Regards.

David”

That’s a great question David.

Shortcut to Spanish can be used in Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and throughout the rest of Latin America.

I originally wrote the course while living in Mexico, so there are times when I do favor Mexican Spanish words. It’s like the old
song “you say tomayto, I say tomahto.” The structures I show you are universal. They’ll work for you just as well in Spain as
they do in Latin America.

Here are some comments from people who have put their new
Spanish speaking skills to use in Spain and the Americas:

“I landed in Madrid 3 days ago never having spoken a word of Spanish. I only spent 2 weeks looking at your course before I came and it gave me such an excellent grounding, I don’t feel out of my depth at all. Well OK, maybe a wee bit 🙂 but honestly it’s been so helpful and has given me such a huge head start in that I can already communicate with my landlady who speaks not one word of English.”

– Victoria Graham, Madrid

“I visited a World Fest Celebration in Silver Dollar City, Missouri, USA yesterday. Part of the show was a group from Ecuador playing, dancing, and singing Andes music.

After the show I saw one of the singers sitting by himself on a bench. I went over, and nervously told him in Spanish that I liked their music very much. He could not speak a word of English, and was thrilled to speak with a North American from the USA. We talked in Spanish for over ten minutes about our families, our country, etc.”

“I live in Menorca with my Menorcan husband and I have found this course very helpful. I have now been on the island for 6 years and have always had difficulty in creating Spanish sentences. Your course has helped me to understand the language better than anything I have tried before, and I now have more confidence when speaking to my husband’s family.”

– Mandy Peacock, Spain

“I am 15 years old and have been trying to learn Spanish for the past year. I knew a lot of words but now with your program I can put everything together.

My Abuelos are from Cuba, and yesterday I was able to speak to my Abuela in complete Spanish.”

Gracias por todo.
Saludos su amigo
