Spain just celebrated Grandparents day in July and Mexico celebrates it this month.
There’s an old proverb that says “it takes a village to raise a child”. And perhaps the unsung heroes of child raising are the grandparents. This lesson is dedicated to them and their special day.
Gracias Marcus
Thanks AGAIN Marcus..I really enjoy these lessons. I highly recommend your Bolla de nieve to all of your students..

Thank you for all the videos that you send to us. They are a great help. I wish you had been my Spanish teacher, I might not have struggled as much with learning the language. By the time you have recited the verbs parrot fashion, the next time you come to use them, most of it is forgotten. This method seems to make the words stick in your mind. A big thank you.
Easy to learn, especially after going over each video 2 – 3 times! Soy abuela, for me, that’s what it takes, to stick up-stairs and I really appreciate your lessons! Thank you.
Muchas gracias Marcus!! Quiero aprender mas espanol todos los dias. Siempre, quiero hablar y entender mas y mas espanol, y voy a aprender mas espanol cada dia. De hecho, voy a estudiar mi espanol todos los dias..siempre.
Hi Marcus, my name is Gary Sturtivant, I currently spend many months in Spain after retirement. I have tried many methods of learning Spanish the last one being Babbel, they ask you to type the words 😩not possible if you don’t know the language!!
I like very much your method of repeating after all it’s SPEECH we want not initially writing , that can come later.
In my opinion there is no better method than hear and say.
Thank you I will be following up your new way of learning. MUCHAS GRACIAS. Gary.
Excellent. Thank you.
Dear Marcus,
I thank you for this lesson. I know new words. Hope receiving new lesson In this format.
Thanks in advance
Thank you Marcus. I particularly like the monoloque in the beginning and ending of the Grandparents lesson. It gives an opportunity to hear Spanish actually being spoken.
Do you have a lesson series available that uses this format in each lesson?
I’m working on a new lesson series with this format. I hope to release it by October.
Me encantó.
Esperando la lección dos
Muchisimas gracias
That was a really enjoyable lesson Marcus, Thankyou John Park
I enjoy all of your lessons and am lucky enough to be able to share them with my tres nietos aged 12,11 and 8 who are now learning Spanish at school in England. They spend a lot of time with us when we are in Tenerife where we live for part of each year. They appreciate the fun and up to date themes of your lessons and they give an extra dimension to their school experience.
Muchas gracias Marcus.

That’s fabulous, Shona, I am delighted to hear your nietos are enjoying the lessons too.
I enjoy every lesson and find your teaching approach and sense of humour make learning great fun. Soy abuela de dos nietos y una nieta. Aged twelve, eleven and eight they are now learning Spanish at school and we like to work on your lessons together. They are a great supplement to their school studies and give an extra dimension to their experience of the language. I would recommend this to all other abuelos and abuelas as a lovely way to share this beautiful language with their nietos. Muchas gracias Marco.

Very good ! i have listened to you for years and must say you are serious and easy to follow! I live in Argentina for 6 years half the tine. The rest in Sweden. I am fluent in English (lived in UK) but now I am old and have great difficulties learning Spanish! One problem is I speak Swedish in the house with my Argentinian husbond. Castellanska here is soft and fast and difficult for me to understand! I do understand written text well. So basically my problem is I don’t understand the context of a conversacion and my verbs are bad! What can Ido? And how do I pay in case I takes course with you? And is it safe to pay you over internet?
Best regards Christina Bilby
Hola Christina,
