I’ve had a wonderful breakthrough in my life.

It has allowed me at 58 years old to mix it with young guys in the gym.

These days I consider someone in their 30s young.

One of my new amigos, Jarryd, is 34. He is one of those crazy MMA fighters. Super nice guy though, I can’t imagine him hurting anyone…without hearing that bell ding.

We do F45 together which is a full on 45-minute-high intensity workout.

He says he likes training with me because I keep him honest with cardio workouts.

Yet, when I turned 50, my knees where shot.

If I did star jumps, it killed my knees for days.

Stretching helped, but the gamechanger was discovering some very unusual exercises.

For example, one of the exercises is walking backwards in the driveway.

As I got more advanced, I started pulling a weighted sled while walking backwards.

The neighbors have to think Marcus has lost his marbles again.

This strengthens the muscles that take all the impact when you run or land from a jump.

This and the other unusual exercises in the system are designed to bulletproof knees.

Most exercise has you working big muscle groups.

These exercises have you working small muscles that support and stabilize…keeping your ligaments safe for injuries…especially as you age.

And for me they have word like gangbusters.

Best of all they’re simple to do, and the benefits are extraordinary.

I did a set of 31-inch box jumps the other day. And my knees still felt great.

A few years ago, when I was hobbling around on sore knees that would have been impossible.
