I want to share with you a simple technique. I discovered it by chance, but it had a profound effect on my Spanish ability.
It combines two concepts essential to fast and permanent learning: imagination and repetition.
You’ve probably used flashcards sometime in your life.
You can put English on one side of a card and Spanish on the other. You look at the Spanish word and try to guess its meaning in English.
Here’s how to multiply the power of flashcards by 3–5 times.
Add a mnemonic, and suddenly 1+1=3 or 4 or 5.
What I stumbled upon was the power of mnemonic. With a mnemonic on the flashcard your ability to remember the Spanish words will be multiplied.

These mnemonics flashcards will increase your vocabulary and imprint the Spanish words you need into your memory.
Shortcut to Spanish will turn those words into flowing sentences you can use to have a chat with your amigos in a café, and even get by in a Spanish-speaking country.

Thank you so much for the flash cards .Such a great idea. Flash cards were great for teaching my boys to reading and spelling.
Marcus,
You need to fix your autoresponder. I purchased Shortcut to Spanish a couple weeks ago and still get your sales emails. There are ways to eliminate purchasers from your autoresponder so you don’t keep sending sales messages to people who have already bought. It’s kind of annoying. Just sayin’.
BTW I love the product.
Hola Marcus,
Estoy encantada con sus clases de espanol. Me gustaria que ensenan otros idiomas asi como. Su metodo es el mejor. Hablo Vietnamita, Ingles y frances. Estudio italiano tambien. Muchas gracias.

hi Marcus, thank you for your continued help with learning Spanish, I am told that my Soanish is good, but I would not go as far as to that, but I am very happy with my Spanish, I was talking to a Mexican Gentleman who was seated next to me on the aircraft, I had been in Mexico for two Months, this was a night flight, we were talking and drinking red wine for almost three hours, I was talking to him I English, but translating our conversation into Spanish. he told me that my Spanish was very good. I wish to tell you, that on the 17th August, I was married to a lovely Mexicana lady, Teresa, and she leaves Mexico tomorrow, arriving Friday afternoon to reside with me permanently here in Mansfield Woodhouse, she could not return with me on the 26th September, as she had not at that time Teresa had not received her Visa. I again thank you for your valued help, and you continue to do so. again, many thanks Marcus. Bill.
Thanks for the continued tips Marcus,I am retired now but have worked in Spain and spent most of my adult life in and around Spaning speaking people but I have never (up until now) been able to string sentences together!!,will be buying a property in Spain soon and with your continued help I will be conversing in Spanish!

Marcus, I never signed up for your full Spanish course because I just wanted to learn a bit of the language for a forthcoming trip to Uruguay and Argentina. I’m off shortly so I have unsubscribed to your e-mails. But I can’t leave before thanking you so much for the free stuff you’ve sent these past months. I can’t believe how practical your approach is and how different (and superior) it is to other language courses I’ve tackled in the past. Gracias. (There’s one word I’ve learnt at least!!)
Does the system provide mnemonics for words, or do I have to create the mnemonics?
Shortcut to Spanish has 100 mnemonics in the course.
On which side of the flashcard do you put the mnemonic?
I put it on the English side.
Thanks. I’m looking at your program is addition to learning my own native language Maori. Could never get Flash Cards, so will give this one a go. I still want to learn Spanish so will keep moving a head with your program. Gracias Amigo.
So, you’re suggesting for every new Spanish word we need to remember two words instead of just the Spanish word.”?
Using the Spanish word all day in every possible situation is much more beneficial than learning a mnemonic word to associate with the new Spanish word. It’s a slow way to augment one’s vocab.
Mnemonics worked like a charm for me. I was able to get a rich Spanish vocabulary very quickly. That opened up the language to me in many ways. Probably the best thing I got from an extensive vocabulary was being able to read in Spanish which in turn opened up even more of the language.
Mnemonics accelerated my progress which is why I am sharing the idea. If they don’t work for you, that’s fine, I would still suggest using flashcards.
Thank you for all the emails, and yes I have wasted so much money on lessons and books in the past!! I think with your course I can finally crack it!!
Best regards,
Fergus

Hiya
Just to say that I have to admit I haven’t really spent enough time on trying to learn Spanish.
Life has got in the way but now, with winter approaching, I am going to make a real effort to structure some learning time into every day.
I would like to thank you for all your mails, which I find very motivating and I look forward to improving my Spanish. Who knows – maybe one day I will be able to write to you in Spanish
Thanks for all your help
Best regards
Lynne
