This page is especially for my Synergy Spanish students who are doing the Informal Dialogs course.
I’ve got some thoughts on informal Spanish to share with you, but first let me turn it over to you. That way, I’ll make sure that I’m on the right track and I’ll be able to give you what you need.

Ireceived the audio tapes and named a folder, then clicked save, only to discover there was nothing in the folder, and the tapes were in my delete box.. I am able to retrieve them and play them, but am worried that I might lose them. Can you help please

I recieved your E-Mail and went the website. But I couldn’t find the Informal dialog courses and download it. I’m a Korean. I’m not accustomed both English and Spanish. It is hard for me to find something in this website in English. I want you to send me the informal dialog courses by E-Mail. Could you do that for me, por favor?

Querido Marcus, I have tried to comunicate with you for several times, but somehow my letters were rejected no matter what address I used of yours. Let me thank you first of all for your maravillosa idea. I am getting on with your Synergy Español so well that I have now started to share it with absolut beginners, but in German. It is quite a job to translate it into my language, but it works with them, too. Mind you English and Spanish have so much more in common than the German has, but still it somehow creates a lot of pleasure.
I tried so much to get into your free Informal Course, but it just doesn´t work. I am a member, of course, and own Synergy Spanish and the Shortcut to… Unluckily I can´t find my receipts and all else that is required to get that free offer of Informal Dialogs. I live in Tenerife and I need so very much to speak the lenguage, but more so the informal part here. If you could sort out things for me I´d be vey grateful. What I should also tell you is the fact that I am an absolut beginner in the World of Computers and that I am rather advanced in age. Nevertheless y otra vez, gracias por todo. It sounds like a good idea–this informal SPAnish .
We have lived in Panama for 6 years now and because they all want to learn English, I don’t get much practice. However We are planning to move from here on down to Argentina. And from our visits there, I know they sure donn’t understand my Panama brand of Spanish— They
all look at me like I’m speaking Martian!
But I do have a question of etiquette. When we learned English as children, we all learned that there is a difference between “can I” and “may I” Is it the same with Spanish?

Thanks for the informal course, much appreciated, however, there were a few problems downloading this. When I first went on and signed in it took me to a new members page. Tried again and it wouldn’t recognise my password, however, got a new password and all is now sorted.

Hola Marcus, muchas gracias por los dialogos informales! While taking your course Synergy Spanish my Spanish girlfriend pointed out the difference between formal and informal too. I think these lessons are a valuable addition to Synergy Spanish. Thanks a million.
I know it is good to be in the moment, but sometimes I want to talk in different tenses. That is still on my wishlist ;c)

Hola. I live in Switzerland and work for a small NGO on migration issues (many in South America) I take a Spanish class through work (twice a week for 1.5 hours) that’s why I bought this course. We are just going to start the Preterite tense but I notice through Synergy we don’t get to that. Can you suggest something in the archives maybe that might help. Ayuda! Ayuda! jefe. Muchas gracias. I am still working on the Synergy Spanish course but, unfortunately, I don’t get to spend as much time on it as I’d like so the going is sort of slow. However, I really really need the informal dialogs course to better understand my Spanish-speaking sweetheart and friends!
I’ve been married to a Colombiana for 11 years and she spoke no english when we met. She worked hard on her english, we married and she continued learning. However, my learning of spanish has been neglected and my spanish vocabulary is not too bad, but what I need to put it all together is the verb tenses and present, past and future. I think that it is coming together pretty fast now that I have started this course. Now I just need to make time for the effort.
Thank you for your course and for the extra informal Spanish booster. At the present time I am still working my way through the Synergy course and trying to build on my rather restricted vocabulary.
I will not attempt the informal course anytime soon as I don’t want to add yet another factor to remember at this time.
Your encouragement is appreciated and your courses are quite effective, but with a limited time to work on the language I am hoping that slow and steady will win out.

I teach in English in an English/Spanish high school in Costa Rica and I am surrounded with Spanish speakers in the teacher’s lounge. The informal language course seems to be more reflective of the language I am hearing in the lounge, so I am very excited about the prospect of learning it. I am happy to report that your methodology is working for me.
