Here’s an extension of the Spanish Beyond the Dictionary, dictionary.
Even though you’ll hear these collocations on the streets, in the bars and cafes and all the time when Spanish speakers chat among themselves…
They can be invisible to non-native Spanish speakers.
That is until someone points them out. Then all of a sudden you start noticing them all over the place.
How about that? I just used one.
All over the place is an English collocation. In Spanish it is por todos lados.(that one and 63 more are included in Spanish beyond the Dictionary dos)

Reminder:
The all-new Fearless Fluency Conversations is only available until March 5.
It’s essential for understanding your amigos even when they speak at full speed.
Dear Marcus,
I joined before but couldn’t find the time but I’m ready to start again. I live in Malaga province and have done for many years, but not yet fluent I’m not sure which course to do breaking through to fluent or to mastery. Breaking through to fluent might be a lot of study I’ve previously done so I might lose interest or to push myself the extra to mastery. I can converse pretty well but sometimes forget the correct tence, mostly because I don’t get much opportunity to practice on a daily basis so any advice you could give me would be appreciated.
Kinds Regards Tracy Bruce.
I’d start with the fluency level. If it turns out to be too easy we can always upgrade you to the next level.
By the way, the foundation in all the levels is speaking to learn rather than learning to speak. There is no heavy duty study or theory. It’s all very practical for you to use with your amigos in Malaga.
truthfully I’m a slow learner at my senior age but willing to try since your system is compatible etc
Are there a “Spanish Beyond the dictionary” volume 1?
Thanks for this one. It looks great.
What lessons!! They are beyond anything I have ever tried to learn in Spanish.
I am making progress with your Synergy Spanish, and I find these extra tips very helpful. Love the audio programs! Barbara
I’ve done your first Synergy course. Terrific! Really helpful. I also enjoy all your little notes about idioms etc. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much Marcus. I am going through Synergy Spanish for a second time and since I am familiar with the vocabulary now, I am concentrating on the “accent”. When I’m done , I will move on to the ear training program.
Adios Y gracias,
Louise
I love the collocations and so do my English AND Spanish friends! And it´s absolutely right, as soon as you know them, you hear them all the time, great stuff!
Hi Marcus you are a genius well done you are helping me tremendously and when I can afford it I will be purchasing much more
Muchas gracias
Gary
Marcos, Thanks So Much! I knew some of them. I’ve learned one or two that are not on your list but they may be just Dominican. One is “cuando antes” which means, immediately. Another is “se me relaja” which means he/she’s messing with me…kidding me. It works with the variants substituting for “se,” and negative constructions including, I think, as a (gentle) command…stop pulling my leg.
best,
Paul
Thank you Marcus for sharing your knowledge, much appreciated. I learned so much through your lessons.
poco a poco thanks
What an amazing program. You can imagine that at 57 years old I would never have believed that I could remember what I had learn and yet after only about 8 months I can actually have conversations with my patient, spanish speaking friends. I think the biggest hurtle to get over is having the confidence that you really will be understood by people and the way you teach gives that confidence. I really feel like I can go to the Dominican Republic this year on my 37th anniversary and at least have simple conversations with people. Thank you for all you hard work.
I am so impressed to finally have a good audio and written spanish course. The Beyond the Dictionary expressions are so helpful to keep up the conversation. Thank you for what you do…
Marcus, I have two idems that are on my wish list for Bola de Nieve. #1 Since I am also taking Synergy Ear it would be helpful if Bola de Nieve was also offered in reverse dialog. That is Spanish phrase first than English. #2 It would be helpful if at the end of a lesson there was a testing phase the student had to put together complete sentences. Currently your dialogs set up a progressive pattern which is easy for the mind to follow. Much easier than translating out of context.
How do I hear your recordings again?
I heard them yesterday and found them really useful but now there is only script.
Marcus, you work very hard and it shows. Also your yechnique is unique and quite effective. I have experience with several systems before finding you. So I can spesk with some authority. Thanks
Hola Marcus
Feliz Semana Santa
A wonderful present from the Easter Bunny.
I have learnt more Spanish in the last year with you than in the previous two years at a Spanish school. The confidence is “mucho mejor”.
Muchas gracias.
Saludos cordiales
Hi Marcus,
Just to say thanks a million for your teaching methods,I am deaf in one ear, and my other one is not very good either. Being able to read the lesson and listen to it on my I pod at the same time makes it so much easier for me to pick up the correct pronunciations, as a lot of sounds are the same to me,but thanks to you I am enjoying learning my new language. We retired to Gran Canaria Spain, so speaking the language is a must.
Keep up the good work and many thanks
Hi, Marcus/team
As a semi-retired psychologist living mainly in Mexico I do have sufficient time and lots of inclination and of course awareness that information is not the answer to learning, as clearly there is now sufficient information on so many topics, yet information is only part of the process. The interaction must be of importance as is the relationship between us all. I would appreciate some back to basics with the Ear Training having some link to the many words that need to be learnt via your traditional methods, even if their needs to be a cost, as i am struggling to capture them all. Regards Eddy
where is the part II ?
Dear Sir,
This is most important item for me.
thanks
Dear Marcus,
Just want to say THANK YOU for amazing work you’ve done! I’m getting Ear Training lessons monthly and they are as great as your other courses that I’ve purchased and studied. You make Spanish easy! And it’s especially kind of you to send us free information regularly, you really want us to learn Spanish!!! I think your program is the best one around, truly.
Natasha
Hi, Marcus,
Since I am blind, I use a screen reading program. How would I copy these two PDF files so that I can send them to my PDF program, which works with my screen reader?
Hello Marcus,
I don’t know what to say, except your lessons are the best.
I have tried about six different courses, yours is by far the best.
Even though you are the best, Spanish is hard to learn, but I have only been studying for almost 1 1/2 years.
I think you have really helped me to speed up my learning.
Thank you mucho!!!
Thank you Marcus. I really enjoy your lessons. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Muchisimas gracias
Peter
